honestly dreamcatcher’s cover of bang bang bang just further proves that every decision made in regards to their covers and own discography has been a conscious one. it’s not by chance that their discography is completely gender neutral, even with a member’s (dami) involvement in some of the lyrics the songs remained completely gender neutral (and she has even written ‘scar’ fully on her own). and it’s definitely not by chance that they’ve kept the original lyrics in their past covers, it’s not by chance that they’ve covered songs directed at female lovers and kept the original pronouns (and even when they changed the pronouns in that mmm song, it was clearly meant to be taken seriously).

the fact that today they changed the lyrics from “guys go on top, girls get low” to “girls go on top, guys get low” and  “the dignity of men, the pretense of women” to “the dignity of women, the pretense of men” proves that they really know what they’re doing and who they’re doing it for. 

dreamcatcher are really defying a lot of things in the kpop industry, from their concept, to their choreographies (that are choreographed by a woman too), to their lyrics… their boldness alone is admirable
